Do men also opt for liposuction ?<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Liposuction before breast augmentation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Liposuction consists of removing excess fat from different areas of the silhouette. It is the most commonly performed plastic surgery in the world. It represents 14.8% of all operations, ahead of breast augmentation (13%) according to data published by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Aesthetic medicine is doing well<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In 2021, 30 million cosmetic procedures, surgical and non-surgical were performed worldwide. That&rsquo;s 19.3% more than in 2020. A sector that is doing well because between 2017 and 2021, the number of surgical procedures had already increased by more than 33%, those non-surgical + 54%.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Liposuction or thigh lift ?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>More than 1.9 million <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aram-clinic.co.uk\/liposuction-turkey\">liposuction<\/a> procedures were recorded worldwide in 2021. A 25% jump from 2020. However, this is not the procedure that has seen the greatest increase. The thigh lift has increased by 53.1% over one year, ahead of the buttock lift, up 45.7% over the same period. In both cases, the objective is to reshape the targeted area by removing excess skin in order to firm up and tone up.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Men also opt for liposuction<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>For men, the two most common cosmetic surgical procedures that are performed worldwide are gynecomastia and liposuction. Gynecomastia involves the removal of fat from the chest area.
